We’re going for a walk.

Out the door and

Down the Steps.

We’re going for a walk.

Which way, ________?

That way? This way?

Here we go!

We’re going for a walk.

We’re sliding in the sand.

Swish, swish.

Swish, swish.

We’re sliding in the sand.

We’re climbing on the curb.

Left, right,

Left, right. Whoa!

We’re climbing on the curb.

Steps:

1. Take a child for a walk near home. Look and listen for interesting things. Use "The Farmer in the Dell" to make up a song about your expedition with
the chorus. "We're going for a Walk. We're going for a walk. Yes. Sireeee. We're going for a walk."

2.Create verses about things you find like a flag or a cat. Start a verse for something a little ways ahead, then further along to keep yourselves interested.

3. Take photos while you walk. Get shots from a child's height.

4. Place photos on every other page in a small photo album across from the words you sang together. Use footprints to make the text pages more interesting.

5. Consider a companion videos using the same photos
and an audio track of you and your grandchild singing.

One, two, step, step

We’re marching up the hill.

This says WATER.

Worker men can find it.

Splash, Splash

Water under here.

Back at my house.

Up, up the steps
